In the Salad Factory we produce everything from sliced apples and tomatoes to iceberg lettuce and salad mixes. Our salads are tended and sliced before being rinsed and washed in pure, cold water. The water bath, which is kept at precisely +2°C, also refrigerates the salad in order to close the pores and keep the raw material fresh and tasty. After washing, the salad is spun in a centrifuge, which carefully removes the water before the product is weighed and packaged.
Other products processed in the Salad Factory include tomatoes and apples, which are sliced according to product specifications to guarantee a high, consistent quality. During the process, raw materials are quality-checked both manually and mechanically and undergo multiple safety checks.
