Sustainability

Salico, as part of the Greenfood group, has taken a stand in the most important transition for the planet and humanity. Sustainability is important to us - and should be a guiding principle in everything we do. We work based on three focus areas:

Food

We depend on a healthy planet and a well-functioning ecosystem to be able to grow the base for our range. That is why it is so important to us that our food is produced in a way where negative environmental effects are reduced and human rights are respected, and at the same time that they taste good, are useful and make life easier for our customers. Within the Food area, we have three focus areas – healthy food, reduced food waste and food safety.

Environment

The environment plays one of the main roles in our sustainability work. For us, it is obvious to work to reduce our environmental impact by working systematically and ambitiously. Within the area of Environment, we have three focus areas – reduced climate footprint, environmentally friendly packaging and water use.

People

People are our most important resource. We strive for equality and diversity and to improve working and living conditions not only for those in our own organization but for everyone in our supply chain. Within the area of People, we have two focus areas – social responsibility in the supply chain and working conditions in our own organization.
